This is a list of what one does in class, and or in every day life as a true warrior. Try your best to follow this list, if you do forget you will be forgiven. These are followed so that we may grow mentally, physically and emotionally as a warrior.
Remove your street shoes before entering training area.
Bow upon entering and when leaving training area.
Precede or follow all questions or answers to your instructors with his or her title (Shihan, Sensei, Sempai, Joshu, Sir, Ma’am, etc... ).
Personal hygiene is a matter of safety and discipline keep finger and toe nails clean and trimmed, teeth clean, etc...
All uniforms must be kept clean and have a school patch that represents the Sento method (approved by Sento senior staff)
When told to fall in, do so quickly and quietly by rank.
All classes begin and end with review of tenets, motto and creed.
Bow to your partner at the beginning and end of each session.
Thank your instructor when they help you or correct a mistake.
Stand quietly and listen when the instructor is talking to the class
Keep talking to a minimum so that you may concentrate on the class and get more out of your training.
Vulgarity of any kind will not be permitted anywhere in dojo.
Always show respect for fellow students, instructors and yourself.
Shake hands with instructors and thank them at the end of each class.
If in doubt ask an instructor or senior student.
The Dojo is a special place always show respect for it.
Instigating a fight, in or out of the dojo will lead to dismissal.
Never ask when you will be promoted, perfect patience and perfect practice make perfection.
When you become higher in rank always remember to respect and honor the instructor or instructors who trained you. If you don’t you have learned nothing.
All students and instructors should carry themselves with peace, self discipline, respect and humility.
Tests must be conducted or approved by an instructor expert status or higher.
Sparring can only be performed by active members with proper equipment, rank and skill level.
Sparring is to be performed under the supervision of an approved coach.
